Emerging filmmaker, actor, screenwriter and comedian, Annisa Belonogoff, has made a splash on the Sydney stand-up scene. With sold-out solo shows at the 2019 Sydney Comedy Festival, Annisa recently toured her show, Dear Future Ex-Husbands, to Perth and Adelaide (2020) with rave reviews.

From age five, she has honed her skills with numerous performances in dance, theatre and film. Annisa studied Screen Acting and NIDA as well as Photography at Griffith’s Queensland College of Art, with her projects consistently exploring her cultural heritage (Russian/Australian) and challenging the notion of, what she coins, The Female Success Identify.

Her photography works have been exhibited across Australia and in Germany. Apart from working in front and behind the camera on Australian feature productions such as Aquarius films “Wish you were here”. Annisa wrote, performed, and produced award-winning short films delving into modern dating life with a female lens, one of which was a semifinalist for the world- renowned Australian short film contest, Tropfest.

Her latest passion project, Not Russian Anywhere, is a nostalgic love song to her Russain cultural roots and her rural upbringing in Emerald, Queensland. Not Russian Anywhere was recently selected by Screen Queensland Consults and Benjamin Law (The Family Law, SBS) to help champion the project to production.

Annisa is currently working on writing and developing two feature films and a new stand-up show, planning to tour in 2022.
